I've posted Radiohead's video from Coachella fest 2012 before, so here's another video; an acoustic session by Alex Turner.
This is actually different from Arctic Monkeys' set for Coachella.
I feel like Alex is serenading me!
Gosh.
P/s: I love listening to Love Is A Laserquest while driving. Weird.

It never gets old
Saturday, May 5, 2012
After
all these years, they still rock my socks.
And this song, it never gets old. (I personally think The Bends and OK Computer are their best albums of all.)
It was taken from their set in Coachella 2012.
And this was the end of it.
I was blown away.
P/s: I heard some rumors about their upcoming album. I've listened to few tracks but I'm not quite sure. Let's just wait for it. ;)

Sing It Rock 'n' Roll
Friday, May 4, 2012
This is the official video for Oh Chentaku's Sing It Rock 'n' Roll (SIRR).
It has been featured in MTV Asia.
The sky has never been this gorgeous, are you with me?
Hey! Welcome to the party, let’s get ourselves rise.
Show the world, how we nail it, how we roll,
Here we go!
SING IT ROCK & ROLL!
When all seems so dark and this is how we roll;
We’re not into perfection.
Baby let it go, this is for tonight, hey,
we’ll SING IT ROCK & ROLL!
They were never kings, there will never be.
This is for everyone, who have showed love.
Together, as one!
ALL RISE! ALL RISE! ALL RISE!
The track of this symphony is turning me on,
Just don’t care about your problems,
Tell them we’re not scared ‘cause we’re never alone,
We’re all brothers!
And here's the acoustic version of SIRR:
P/s: I really love the acoustic version cause Myo has the best voice for it.

Fading Flowers
Saturday, April 28, 2012
This is taken from Yuna self-titled album.
It's her US debut album (She released an EP in US before).
This is my favorite song from the album.
People are more on Lullabies but I chose this one.
Such a lovely song!
You got that walk walk walk
Got that talk talk talk
Got that swagger-er-er
Such a glamor-or-or
You're like a real life doll
With your hand that falls
Like niagara ah ahBut that don't matter-er-er
Cause that don't change the fact
that your heart is black
Cause you can't tear me down
Beat me to the ground
Try to block my sunshine my blue skies with your clouds
Who do you think you are
Yeah that won't get you far
You may think you're pretty
But you'll see that beauty is a fading flower
Fading flow-ow-ow-ower
Fading flow-ow-ow-ower
You'll only play play play
If you get your way always
In the center-er-er
Of attentio-io-ion
All the lying
And the cheating
The mistreating
How you even sleep at ni-igh-igh-ight
Blows my mi-i-i-indI wonder when you'll see
but you don't bother me
You can't tear me down
Beat me to the ground
Try to block my sunshine my blue skies with your clouds
Who do you think you are
Yeah that won't get you far
you may think you're pretty
but you'll see that beauty is a fading flower
Fading flow-ow-ow-ower
Fading flow-ow-ow-ower
I spent all of my youth
trying to be you
thought that you were special
that you're beautiful
but the more of you I see
the more I'm glad I'm me
Cause you can't tear me down
Beat me to the ground
Trying to block my sunshine my blue skies with your clouds
Who do you think you are
Yeah that won't get you far
you may think you're pretty
but you'll see that beauty is a fading flower
Fading flow-ow-ow-ower
Fading flow-ow-ow-ower
P/s: The song is super new, I couldn't find any lyrics for the song so here's my take on it.
I couldn't finish it anyway since I'm not even sure.
Even the parts I wrote are not certain.
I'll change it when I get the original lyrics. :)
--> Thanks to the Anon who left comment correcting my lyrics. As of now, I'm gonna stick with his/her version. Now the lyrics made sense to me. Thanks luv! :)
And again, huge thanks to another Anon who left comment here. I've changed my lyrics. Thanks luv. :)
--> Huge thanks to James Cobalt for correcting my lyrics. I've changes it with your version and yes, his version; it makes a lot more sense.
Thanks luv. ;)

I love Sara Bareilles and she's one of the amazing singers who would just blow you away with live performances.
I've always love this song and I love the lyrics as well esp this part:
"Stealing gold from the silver they see, but it's not me"

Hit Me Like A Man
It's the title of the latest EP from The Pretty Reckless.
Well I love them and I didn't know they released a new EP up till today.
I was watching Yuna's US debut album preview by Perez Hilton in Youtube and I stumbled upon the preview of Hit Me Like A Man by The Pretty Reckless.
Taylor is just freaking amazing especially live. I wrote about her before.
She has this amazing voice.
I've listened to the whole EP and it's pretty rad..!!
I love Under The Water and Cold-Blooded.
I think The Pretty Reckless is underrated. Come on, this is such a good band.
But then again, people don't really like this kind of music.
I love them anyway. I just have a slight problem with her racy image. Other than that, I'm fine with it.
I even love their cover version of Like A Stone (Audioslave), Aerials (SOAD), Wonderwall (Oasis), and Seven Nation Army (The White Stripes).
I'm a bit bias knowing the fact that they have covered most of my favorite songs. Hahaa

Long Shot
Well my life, it's a long shot. And here's one of my fav songs:
I felt it, the wire touched my neck
And then someone pulled it tighter
I never saw it coming,
I started to black out and
Then someone said good morning
I took it as a warning
I should have seen it coming
So now I'll take a chance on
This thing we may have started
Intentional or not, I don't think we saw it coming
It's all adding up to something
That asks for some involvement
That ask for our commitment
I think I see it coming
If we step out of that limb
My heartbeat beats me senselessly
Why's everything got to be so intense with me
I'm trying to handle all this unpredictability
In all probability
It's a long shot, but I say why not
If I say forget it, I know that I'll regret it
It's a long shot just to beat these odds
The chance is we won't make it
But I know if I don't take it, there's no chance
'Cause you're the best I got
So take a long shot
I realize that there is all this doubting
Things we're both scared about
That we'll never see them coming
Throw caution to the wind
And we'll see which way it's blowing
And into this fully knowing
We'll never see it coming
Until it's much too close to stop
My heartbeat beats me senselessly
Why's everything got to be so intense with me
I'm trying to handle all this unpredictability
In all probability
It's a long shot, but I say why not
If I say forget it, I know that I'll regret it
It's a long shot just to beat these odds
The chance is we won't make it
But I know if I don't take it, there's no chance
'Cause you're the best I got
So take a long shot
Oh I waited for fact to come to fiction
And you fit my description
I never saw you coming
But we'll make it
It's a long shot, but I say why not
If I say forget it, I know that I'll regret it
It's a long shot just to beat these odds
The chance is we won't make it
But I know if I don't take it, there's no chance
'Cause you're the best I got
So take a long shot
There's no chance, there's no chance
'Cause you're the best I got
It's a long shot but I say why not
If I say forget it I know that I'll regret it
It's a long shot just to beat these odds
The chance is we won't make it
But I know if I don't take it
It's a long shot but I say why not
Oh you never saw me coming

This amazing quote is taken from Meet The Robinson movie.
I love that movie and I really love the quote at the end of the movie. :)
And this song is from Muse called Invincible.
Follow through
Make your dreams come true
Don't give up the fight
You will be alright
Cause there's no one like you in the universe
Don't be afraid
What your mind conceives
You should make a stand
Stand up for what you believe
And tonight
We can truly say
Together we're invincible
During the struggle
They will pull us down
But please, please
Lets use this chance
To turn things around
And tonight
We can truly say
Together we're invincible
Do it on your own
It makes no difference to me
What you leave behind
What you choose to be
And whatever they say
Your souls unbreakable
During the struggle
They will pull us down
But please, please
Let use this chance
To turn things around
And tonight
We can truly say
Together we're invincible
Together we're invincible
During the struggle
They will pull us down
Please, please Let use this chance
To turn things around
And tonight
We can truly say
Together we're invincible
Together we're invincible
"Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Be happy now. Don't wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether it's at work or with your family. Every minute should be enjoyed and savored."

First of The Gang To Die
Tuesday, September 20, 2011
ZOMG. Zee Avi did an awesome job covering Morrissey's First of The Gang To Die. Soulful rendition.
I still love Morrissey's version, but damn Zee Avi's version is the second best. ;)
You have never been in love
until you've seen the stars
reflect in the reservoirs
And you have never been in love
until you've seen the dawn rise
behind the Home for the Blind
We are the Pretty Petty Thieves
and you're standing on our streets
where Hector was the
first of the gang with a gun in his hand
and the first to do time
the first of the gang to die, oh my
Hector was the first of the gang
with a gun in his hand
and the first to do time
the first of the gang to die, oh my
You have never been in love
until you've seen the sunlight thrown
over smashed human bone
We are the Pretty Petty Thieves
and you're standing on our streets
where Hector was the first of the gang
with a gun in his hand
and the first to do time
the first of the gang to die
Such a silly boy
Hector was the first of the gang
with a gun in his hand
and a bullet in his gullet
and the first lost lad
to go under the sod
And he stole from the rich and the poor
and the not very rich and the very poor
and he stole all hearts away
He stole all hearts away
He stole all hearts away
Away...
He stole all hearts away
Away...

Real Deal
Wednesday, September 7, 2011
I love Adele. Well I love her even more when I know she's actually my age. Frankly, I've always thought she's far older than me.
Hearing the live version is always 1000x better than the album. She sings her heart out in live session especially in the small occasion.
Try listen to the whole set of her live session in Itunes Festival 2011. God, it triggers a sudden gush of emotions. Weird but damn, it's connected in every way even if you've never felt that way before. Okay, I'm talking gibberish now. Whatever. Enjoy the real deal, beat that Taylor Swift!! Hahahaha. Her lyrics sound far realistic than yours. Sorry!!

Lollapalooza 2011
Saturday, August 13, 2011
Around The Park by Steve Wrubel, originally uploaded by LollapaloozaFest.
I forgot how awesome a band could be till I watch the replay of Lollapalooza again. I've watched it a few times and yes, I even watched the live webcast of the fest on Youtube. Thanks to those who reminded me about the webcast!
This is indeed another great music festival along side with Coachella, Glastonbury, SXSW and etc. I wonder where's The Strokes this year? I remember they played last year. NVM
I didn't watch the whole set though, I picked the one I fancy.
Foo Fighters
The best performance out of all..!! Foo Fighters were so awesome..!!
They kept playing in heavy rains mannn. Shiznit..!
No doubt, Dave Grohl is one of the best frontmen in history. I kid you not!!
There goes my hero.. The best of the best!
You know what I like?
I like it when rock & roll band come up on stage and play their instruments and they don't use fucking computers when they play.
EPIC!
I'm looking to the sky to save me.
Arctic Monkeys is a bad ass fucking rock & roll band.
You hear that, don't cha??
Damn, effin awesome speech by Grohl..!! Perry Farrel, mann!! If you don't know who's Perry Farrel, you're way too young. HAHA. JK! Easy peasy, google him.
Anyway this is the best song ever written in The Colour and The Shape. Period.
This song is by far, the best song written in Wasting Light.
Oh wait, what about Bridge Burning, Rope, These Days? NVM.
Let me sum it up. Wasting Light is the 2nd best album after The Colour and The Shape.
Arctic Monkeys
I miss their old songs. Alex never fails to amaze me. For a recent heartbroken man, this was pretty rad (Not the best performance though)..! No worries Alex..!!
Fluorescent Adolescent still gets me jumpy.
Muse
Uber-cool background!
Splendid riffs!!
Matt nailed it.
Cage The Elephant
Enjoy peeps. ;)
For other videos, just search it on youtube. You'll find it.

RIP Amy Winehouse
Sunday, July 24, 2011
Today, Amy Winehouse tragically passed away. At first, I saw the timeline in twitter and I thought to myself, it was another prank considering she doesn't score a lot of points in the like department.
So I didn't believe it, I was like, oh crap. Another joke about someone's death. But then again, when something like "RIP Amy Winehouse" flooding your timeline from the likes of NME, AltPress and others. I googled the news and yes, she's dead.
We lost another talent. Despite her bad reputation and massive amount of mess she made, I appreciate her talent. She's one of my fav female singers.
She has this strong jazzy voice with an authentic British voice. I love listening to her songs, I kid you not, I sing to her songs as well. Her lyrics gave me chills. Her voice soothes me somehow.
Damn it, so young. So young indeed. But death is certain, everyone will eventually dies, the only differences are how and when.
And yeah drugs are not hip. It reminds me of Kurt Cobain's death at the age of 27. I was still young at that time, but I knew him. I grew up with Nirvana's songs.
RIP Amy Winehouse. You are loved.
Here are some of my fav songs from Winehouse. Enjoy
Arctic Monkeys did a cover for this song, as much as I love Alex Turner, I still think Amy's version is the best. Unrivaled vocal. The lyrics hold perfect meaning. I've never delete this song in my playlist ever since I heard this one.
I cheated myself,
Like I knew I would,
I told you I was trouble,
You know that I'm no good,
Thinking on you in the final throes,
This is when my buzzer goes,
I love the part when she sings "His message was brutal but the delivery was kind". I'd repeat this part every time I hear this song.
"You should be stronger than me"..

Angelic
Monday, July 4, 2011
I don’t have time to be in love
Kissing you on the cheek, 200 times a week
I don’t have time to be in love
Watching a foreign film, feet on the windowsill
But that’s not true when I’m with you
I don’t have time to be in love
Way too much candlelight, keeping me warm at night
I don’t have time to be in love
Cooking a meal for two, climbing all over you
But that’s not true when I’m with you
Cause I used to be there for you when you were so blue
I’d walk with you in the rain
Nothing was better when we did it together
I don’t have time for love
I don’t have time to be in love
Holding you to my chest, feeling your every breath
I don’t have time to be in love
Laughing so hard we cry, sometimes I don’t know why
I don’t have time to be in love
Maybe this revelry just wasn’t meant for me
But that’s not true when I’m with you
When I’m with you
P/s: Priscilla Ahn, she never fails to amaze me with her angelic voice. It gives me goosebumps hearing her voice. Awesome..!! The video is perfect with her cute charm. ;)

Skinny Love
Sunday, June 26, 2011
Here's the official music video of Skinny Love by Birdy.
What a powerful voice. I love her. She's just 15 years old. What an amazing talent.
Her name is Jasmine Van den Bogaerde but she's using Birdy as her stage name.
Her mom is a concert pianist, no wonder she's great at playing piano.
I love the song. I'm gonna find the piano notes for this one soon. ;)
Come on skinny love just last the year
Pour a little salt we were never here
My my my - my my my - my my my my - my my ...
Staring at the sink of blood and crushed veneer
I tell my love to wreck it all
Cut out all the ropes and let me fall
My my my - my my my - my my my my - my my ...
Right in the moment this order's tall
I told you to be patient I told you to be fine
I told you to be balanced I told you to be kind
In the morning I'll be with you
But it will be a different kind
I'll be holding all the tickets
And you'll be owning all the fines
Come on skinny love what happened here
Suckle on the hope in lite brassiere
My my my - my my my - my my my - my my ...
Sullen load is full so slow on the split
I told you to be patient I told you to be fine
I told you to be balanced I told you to be kind
Now all your love is wasted then who the hell was I?
Cause now I'm breaking at the britches
And at the end of all your lines
Who will love you? who will fight?
And who will fall, far behind?
Come on skinny love ........
My my my - my my my - my my my - my my ...

Excuses
Saturday, June 18, 2011
Why no one will help me
I am too dumb I am too smart
They'll not understand me
I am lonely
They'll hate me
And there is not enough time
It's too hard to help me
And god wants me to work
No resting no lazy
These excuses how they served me so well
They've kept me safe
They've kept me stuck
They've kept me locked in my own cell
I'm too far from home
It takes far too much energy
And I cannot afford to
No one will ever see me
These excuses how they served me so well
They've kept me safe
They've kept me stuck
They've kept me locked in my own cell
These excuses how they're so familiar
They've kept me blocked
They've kept me small
They've kept me safe in my own shell
Bringing this into the light
Shakes their foundation
And it clears my side
Now my imagination
Is the only thing that limits
The bar that is raised to the heights
No one can have it all see
I have to they want me to
And I can't let them down
I'll never be happy
These excuses how they served me so well
They've kept me safe
They've kept me stuck
They've kept me locked in my own cell
These excuses how they're so familiar
They've kept me blocked
They've kept me small
They've kept me locked in my own cell
P/s: I love Alanis Morissette. And yes, lately this old song keeps looping in my car. I just love the meaning and the acoustic version. Alanis' voice still haunts me. Haha. ;)

KROQ Live
Sunday, June 5, 2011
I envy those at Weenie Roast who can watch KROQ live. But then again, I watched it too via Ustream. Haha. I woke up early just to watch the live stream. Boo me..!!
The Strokes is solely responsible for that. Haha.
Watched the full live stream without any buffer or hiccups. Love it.
Jules as usual, was rocking his neon green sneakers and sunnies. Niko donned the vest again. Fab and Albert were rocking their usual attire. Valensi, on the other hand looked hot! ♥_♥
Here's Valensi with his guitar. :)
Pic credit: LYWB
They played my theme song, Hard To Explain. Mann, I was melting again when they played it. I effing love that song. Rather than mellow kind of song, I chose this song to be my love song. I'm weird like that. Haha. Besides, it was the song Jules used when he proposed to Juliet.
Despite a dying mic, The Strokes didn't fail to impress their fans. Their fans were totally jumping and dancing along to their tunes. I was stoked seeing their background. Jules with his sexy rocking voice. Aww. And yes, he just loved to crack a joke in between songs. :) I love it when he's messing with the lyrics. They played Reptilia, Hard To Explain, Under Cover of Darkness, Juicebox, Last Night, You're So Right, You Live Only Once, and Take It Or Leave it.
But I think Jules was not in his top form. Regardless, it was short and sweet. ;)
I managed to catch Foo Fighters too. They played my fav song, Learn To Fly,Times Like These and Best of You. I think they played longer than The Strokes which is not fair. Haha. One funny thing, I've read a comment in Ustream chat feed box saying Dave Grohl is actually Tony Stark. LOL. I only see a tiny resemblance.
Anyhow, I found an old pic of Nick Valensi. How cute.
