I've posted Radiohead's video from Coachella fest 2012 before, so here's another video; an acoustic session by Alex Turner.
This is actually different from Arctic Monkeys' set for Coachella.
I feel like Alex is serenading me!
Gosh.
P/s: I love listening to Love Is A Laserquest while driving. Weird.

Lollapalooza 2011
Saturday, August 13, 2011
Around The Park by Steve Wrubel, originally uploaded by LollapaloozaFest.
I forgot how awesome a band could be till I watch the replay of Lollapalooza again. I've watched it a few times and yes, I even watched the live webcast of the fest on Youtube. Thanks to those who reminded me about the webcast!
This is indeed another great music festival along side with Coachella, Glastonbury, SXSW and etc. I wonder where's The Strokes this year? I remember they played last year. NVM
I didn't watch the whole set though, I picked the one I fancy.
Foo Fighters
The best performance out of all..!! Foo Fighters were so awesome..!!
They kept playing in heavy rains mannn. Shiznit..!
No doubt, Dave Grohl is one of the best frontmen in history. I kid you not!!
There goes my hero.. The best of the best!
You know what I like?
I like it when rock & roll band come up on stage and play their instruments and they don't use fucking computers when they play.
EPIC!
I'm looking to the sky to save me.
Arctic Monkeys is a bad ass fucking rock & roll band.
You hear that, don't cha??
Damn, effin awesome speech by Grohl..!! Perry Farrel, mann!! If you don't know who's Perry Farrel, you're way too young. HAHA. JK! Easy peasy, google him.
Anyway this is the best song ever written in The Colour and The Shape. Period.
This song is by far, the best song written in Wasting Light.
Oh wait, what about Bridge Burning, Rope, These Days? NVM.
Let me sum it up. Wasting Light is the 2nd best album after The Colour and The Shape.
Arctic Monkeys
I miss their old songs. Alex never fails to amaze me. For a recent heartbroken man, this was pretty rad (Not the best performance though)..! No worries Alex..!!
Fluorescent Adolescent still gets me jumpy.
Muse
Uber-cool background!
Splendid riffs!!
Matt nailed it.
Cage The Elephant
Enjoy peeps. ;)
For other videos, just search it on youtube. You'll find it.

Suck It and See
Saturday, June 4, 2011
Well this is something I've been waiting for so long. Arctic Monkeys' fourth album, Suck It and See.
The whole album can be streamed on their official website: ArcticMonkeys
I've listened to the whole album. It's been looping in my playlist. I need to get some sort of a hook to their latest album. :)
Here's the track listing:
1. She's Thunderstorms
2. Black Treacle
3. Brick by Brick
4. The Hellcat Spangled Shalalala
5. Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair
6. Library Pictures
7. All My Own Stunts
8. Reckless Serenade
9. Piledriver Waltz
10. Love is a Laserquest
11. Suck It and See
12. That's Where You're Wrong
Frankly, this album is nothing like their old albums. Less guitar riffs, less opaque lyrics and they're focusing more on the tunes itself. The title itself says 'Suck It and See', this is something that they wanted to test I suppose.
Nevertheless, this album is better than Humbug. I'm not really keen with 'Brick by Brick' and 'Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair' but their opening 'She's Thunderstorms' glued my ear to speaker waiting patiently for next tunes.
Love may have clouded Alex's mind since most of them were love ridden theme which made the album sounded more melancholy and back to the oldies. I've fallen for 'Love Is The Laserquest'. Oh my, the lyric was beautifully written. Thumbs up to Alex. The lyric and the melody fits perfectly with Alex's laid back charming voice.
“I’m sure that you’re still breaking hearts with the efficiency that only youth can harness”
"And do you look into the mirror to remind yourself you're there Or somebody's good-night kisses got that covered"
Not to forget the title track, I love it to bits. It felt like Alex has bared his soul in this song.
"You're rarer than a can of dandelion and burdock"
"I poured my aching heart into a pop song, I couldn't get the hang of poetry"
"Be cruel to me 'cause I'm a fool for you"
Much respect to them as they've gone for more matured with a poise album.
I know lot of fans were not satisfied with the album as opposed to their earlier stuffs when they had great vocals and strong-edge sounds. But I don't mind seeing them exploring with their creativity.
All in all, I would rate this as 4/5 with 'Love Is A Laserquest', 'Suck It and See', 'Black Treacle', 'That's Where You're Wrong' and 'Reckless Serenade' being my personal favorites.
And yes, Alex Turner is still a brilliant lyricist. ;)

Arctic Monkeys - Reckless Serenade by kaneomak
Here's the latest single by Arctic Monkeys.
Unlike Brick by Brick and Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair, this is awesome.
I like the song, I like this kind of Alex. Now I can't wait for the whole album. :)

Still In Daze
Tuesday, April 19, 2011
Okay so here are couple of videos uploaded on Youtube, the rest you can search on Youtube. BTW, I've downloaded the full web cast of The Strokes' performance and I keep playing it on the loop. Mann, I can't get over it. Still can't. That's too bad, no?! Well they were too awesome. (Being an avid fan is tiring huh?! xD)
In fact, I'm planning to change my last name to Casablancas, no longer Doherty, or even Whibley. haha. Kidding. It's not even mine. xD
And here's the complete list of songs they've played from first to the last. :)
There are many people admiring The Strokes, and she's one of the many. She wanted to see Coachella Live. She told herself "I Can't Win" with so many people. Nevertheless, she's not gonna give up. Why would she? Jules, Albert,Nick and Niko are effing cool. They make her heart thumping like a drum every time she sees them. It's Hard To Explain. They played Under Cover of Darkness and NYC Cops so good that she thought to herself to keep up with the Games, not a chance to give up! She even made a promise, Someday she will go to their concert. She wanted to yell "Oh Jules, You're So Right in The Modern Age."
She effing need to see them live since she knows You Only Live Once. No, she's not Taken For A Fool for not being able to drop her Juicebox while watching them. She's flabbergasted and she's not even Under Control, she's out of control. It is indeed a Gratisfaction. She was closed to becoming a Reptilia for being so wild Last Night. Well thanks a bunch to the uber-cool band, The Strokes for every momentous moments in her life. Even with some flaws, she's grateful for the memories, and yes no choices left, she should either Take It or Leave It.
Here are some of the colored images, again courtesy of suckitandseeat1251
A confession: I've never like anything with leopard prints. A satin leopard prints? That's a big no-no for me, but damn, he's killing it with this one. Nick Valensi, you're the man. Oh well he paired it with Converse.
One thing about Coachella, I missed watching The Kills live, but thanks to Youtube, I've watched their performance. I love VV. She's getting better and better. Their opening with 'No Wow' wow-ed me.
Anyway, some people have been asking me about Arctic Monkeys' official music video for 'Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair'. Well I must say the music video is great. After a few listens, I can now say I like the song. Maybe the video did put some weight into it. Somehow the lighting fit perfectly with the melody etc. I'm serious. Watch it.

Back In Business
Wednesday, April 13, 2011
It's beyond pleasure to hear that Arctic Monkeys is back. And yes, their new single 'Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair' is out, first one taken from the latest album 'Suck It and See'. The album is set to be released on 6th June 2011.
You can stream the whole song on their site.
I guess I need a few more listens. It certainly didn't hit me to say it's one of their best songs at first go. No, not yet.
I love Arctic Monkeys especially Alex Turner for their charms and wits in music. They are able to convey some hidden meanings in all of their lyrics. And yes, all of the lyrics were written by my dear Alex. I really like his way of writing lyrics, the poetic in him made me drooling. I'm serious. His honesty always fascinated me. His accent is another thing. His splendid guitar riff's some more. ;) And I don't love Arctic Monkeys just because Alex's in it, all of the members have fair share of creating an awesome band that I fell in love with. I still love them.
But somehow, these days Alex's charm is diminishing. The song seems to lack something in the lyric. At the very least, the song is better than 'Brick by Brick'. Regardless, Alex Turner still looks effortlessly cool to me.
I'm still looking forward to the day the album is out. ;)

The Strokes
Wednesday, January 12, 2011
According to NME, The Strokes is set to release their new album on 22nd March 2011.
So guys mark your calendar. But of course this is not even confirmed yet. Maybe or maybe not.
But then again, I really hope they'll release it earlier. Yeah how long do we have to wait exactly? It seems like forever..haha..Okay I'm exaggerating.
Here's something taken from NME magazine. When asked which releases are you most excited about for 2011, the associate editor answered The Strokes. There are few others like REM, Bright Eyes, Metronomy and many more.
Paul Stokes, Associate Editor
The Strokes
"With Nikolai Fraiture describing it as the missing link between 'Room On Fire' and 'First Impressions Of Earth', Julian Casablancas' solo project raising the bar after the band sort of faded away and last summer's festival gigs whetting the appetite, I can't wait to see what The Strokes return with. I'm not expecting them to recapture the spirit of 'Is This It', rather I'm looking forward to see what a wiser, more musically dexterous Strokes are capable of. They proved they still have the capacity to still turn heads and get the blood pumping and so if they get this right – and the signs are good – there's a chance New York's finest will change the game all over again."
Anyway, for the time being, I'm enjoying some old songs from members of The Strokes; Julian, Nikolai and Albert.
Owh, I miss the Strokes!!
P/s: Arctic Monkeys will release new album produced by James-Ford this year. Excited much?

Rome Was Not Built In A Day, Honey
Saturday, May 29, 2010
Remember my post about how marriage seems to be fragile these days, no?
Well I think it’s true. Someone I know got married 5 months ago and now she’s getting divorced.
Honestly, it was like yesterday where we were all happily together cherishing the moment of her solemnization. I’m indeed serious. I thought it could last forever, well I thought wrong. Too short to relish the moment of ‘just got married’.
The ‘mutual submission of love’ doctrine in a marriage seems to be flimsy.
You can’t tell what’s going to happen in the future. No one could. If we could have even a slight look of how the future would be, then it would be easier for everyone.
I was shocked, stunned and I still am.
I don’t know what went wrong and I refuse to listen to both sides knowing I have tendencies to be bias. God knows the truth and maybe this is the best for them. I refuse to blame anyone and my sympathy has its own limit. But my heart goes out to someone.
You know the saying ‘proof of the pudding is in the eating’. Well I’m neither married nor that I’ve ever experienced any divorce, still I wanna float my thoughts about it.
Why would you agree to be married if you know you’re not going to be loyal? This is not a mere game to anyone. It involves feelings. Feelings are fragile, honey. A piece of advice, never sail under false colours.
I’m sad for not being able to change people’s mentality. I believe everyone has their own set of mind. Some think wise before they step into something big and some may not bother to do so.
True romance is hard to come by these days. Call me lame or whatever you please, but I’m looking for a true romance which I know it doesn’t exist anyway. I don’t want to get married and then get a divorce. Everyone thinks the same right?
It’s like why would you bother to let people hold onto your heart when you know they’re not going to hold it forever? As cliché as it sounds, I dream for someone who will accepts me for who I am.
To a certain someone, I hope you believe in karma.
--> enjoy this song. It seems to fit in the air. I love how Alex wrote 'They made it far easy to believe that true romance can't be achieved these days'...I love Alex Turner..

Only Ones Who Know ~ Arctic Monkeys
In a foreign place, the saving grace was the feeling,
That it was a heart that he was stealing,
Oh he was ready to impress and the fierce excitement,
The eyes are bright he couldn’t wait to get away,
I bet the juliet was just the icing on the cake,
Make no mistake no,
And even if somehow we could have shown you the place you wanted,
Well I'm sure you could have made it that bit better on your own,
And I bet she told a million people that she'd stay in touch,
Well all the little promises they don’t mean much,
When there’s memories to be made,
And I hope you're holding hands by new years eve,
They made it far too easy to believe,
That true romance can’t be achieved these days,
And even if somebody could have shown you the place you wanted,
Well I sure you could have made it that bit better on your own,
You are the only ones who know
P/s: It’s sad how people often like to talk and think about the bad things that happen instead of the good.

Humbug by Arctic Monkeys
Sunday, August 16, 2009

As I’ve promised before, I’m going to tell you about the latest Arctic Monkey’s album HUMBUG. The album consists of 10 amazing songs from Arctic Monkeys. I’ve been waiting for this one and now that I’ve got it I’m kinda addicted to it. Well I’m a huge fan of Arctic Monkeys especially Alex Turner so how could I resist listening to his voice?? Oh with his cute accent. Yes I’m melting..Hahaa ^_^ I love “My Propeller”, “Cornerstone”, “Potion Approaching”, “Crying Lightning”, “Secret Door” or simply said that I love all of it. I really love their lyrics but I think most of the lyrics were all about Alexa, which is not a bad thing but definitely not a good thing for me as I don't want to imagine her as I listen to the songs. I do love the couple but hey should we know all about Alex and Alexa? Even their sex life? Should we? Among all, I'm fucking in love with "Dance Little Liar" not just because it is awesome instrumentally but also because of the lyric itself..
here's the lyric : Dance Little Liar
I heard the truth was built to bend,
A mechanism to suspend the guilt,
Is what you will acquire,
And still you’ve got to dance little liar.
Just like those fibs to pop and fizz,
And you’ll be forced to take that awful quiz,
And you’re bound to trip,
And she’ll detect the fiction on your lips,
And dig the contradiction up.
And the clean commend the hurt,
And you can never get it spotless,
When there’s dirt beneath the dirt,
The liar takes a lot less time.
I’m sure it’s clear and plain to me,
It’s not an alibi you need just yet,
Oh no it’s something for those beads of sweat,
Yes that, will get you back to normal.
And after you have dabbed the patch,
You will grieve and then proceed to scratch,
The varnish off that newly added calmness,
So as not to raise any alarms too soon.
And the clean commend the hurt?
And you can never get it spotless,
When there’s dirt beneath the dirt.
The liar takes a lot less time,
To decide on this saunter,
Have you got itchy bones?
And in all your time alone,
Can you hack your mind being riddled with the wrong memories?
And the clean commend the hurt.
And you can never get it spotless,
When there’s dirt between the dirt.
Alex said that this album was very personal and I think it was personal to him which is why I don't get a lot of it. But hey I love all of the songs despite my confusion in their lyrics. Haaha..
