So? What do you say about the trailer? It looks good and I'm going to watch it even though I don't really fancy Megan Fox. Don't get me wrong! She's very pretty (a bit jealous! =p) but her acting isn't really as pretty as her face. I bet lots of people (I mean Guys) will go and watch this movie when it hits theater soon. It opens in theaters on September 18. Who wouldn't want to watch Megan Fox right? Yeah, you know despite being a demon-possessed man-eater, all the boys still love Megan Fox. =p The film co-stars are Amanda Seyfried (Mamma Mia), Johnny Simmons, Adam Brody (The O.C) and J.K. Simmons. Whoo-hoo!! This is what excites me. I'll go and watch the movie. I'm positive about it. Adam Brody is the first reason why I should go and watch the film. I love him so much in The O.C series and I still love him. He plays Nikolai Wolf in this film and I don't even know whether he's protagonist or antagonist and I don't even care! But I can see from the trailer, he looks real cool. I just want to see him in the big screen again. Frankly I don't have high expectation for this movie. The trailer looks good but there are lots of movies were not as good as the trailers. Sometimes it's just a tactic to get people into the theaters. Isn't it? Plus it's a horror movie. I have few thoughts about horror movies. You know when it comes to horror; usually it's quite the same for every movie-it's skeptical. Sometimes the scene isn't very logical, sometimes the effects are too much in a way that's not frightening at all, sometimes there's unnecessary scene and etc. However I might be wrong for this one because the film is written by an Oscar winner, Diablo Cody (Juno). Just wait and see whether it's going to be good or not so good. =]

10 Things I Hate About You TV series
Wednesday, July 8, 2009

Have you watched the film yet? I bet you do because it is a 1999 film okay!! But for those who don’t watch it yet or haven’t heard of it better kill yourself. Argh..NO..NO..don’t kill yourself but at least kick yourself..! hahah..I’m just kidding. It’s absolutely fine if you don’t know about it. It is a romantic comedy film starring Heath Ledger (R.I.P) and Julia Stiles. Well I do love the film because it is romantic but I do not fancy Julia Stiles but she’s quite good in acting though. For those who have watched it you might still remember Heath’s singing “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” scene. Oh I miss Heath but he has already passed away. He was a good actor and he died at a very young age. Sigh..=[..In the film I also love the scene when Julia read the poem. However I don’t want to talk about the film here but about the TV series. Yeah. “10 Things I Hate About You” has now made as TV series on ABC. The series premiered on 7th July 2009. The series is actually based on the film which is originally based on Shakespeare play The Taming of the Shrew. The series starring Lindsey Shaw (Kat Stratford), Meaghan Jette Martin (Bianca Stratford), Ethan Peck (Patrick Verona), Nicholas Braun (Cameron James), Dana Davis (Chastity Church) and the list goes on. The series focus largely on Stratford sisters (Kat and Bianca) who must juggle their social lives at Padua High, boys, and their overprotective father, but approach life differently, as Kat is impatient to make a difference in the world, is strong-willed and feminist, while Bianca is more concerned with her looks and popularity. According to the ABC website summary, the back-story of the Stratford sisters and their peers will be significantly different from the original film. One word after I watched the preview-> Hot! Ethan Peck is hot and he plays Patrick Verona!! That’s what makes him even hotter. Besides I really love Patrick Verona personalities. There’s something about him that will make people go gaga over him or is it just me? Hahha.. I have watched the first episode because the trailer is too appealing for me not to watch the series. You know how much I’m into TV series. Seriously in the commercials “10 Things I Hate About You” looked very interesting. It’s indeed interesting even the first episode is just for 30 minutes. The acting and the dialogues are awesome. The first episode is hilarious and sweet. I’m excited for more. I think I like Lindsey Shaw. She’s good as Kat and Meaghan is perfect as Bianca. It also appears to me that Lindsey Shaw looks a bit like Kristen Stewart and Jena Malone. Do you think so?? =] Ahh please help me because I find Ethan’s voice is very sexy. Dammit. Haha..And oh I’m intrigued by Patrick Verona’s character in this series. I read on a site that Verona doesn’t say much in first three episodes but he does start talking around episode four. It also says by second half of the season, Verona and Kat relationship will "move away from the comedy, more towards the relationship side of things." Hurmm..Looking forward to it..Honestly I think Dana Davis as Chastity who’s a very sick lame head cheerleaders + mean girl is cool. When I saw her on the series she looks very familiar to me and after a while of flashing back memories, I remember her!! She’s the one starring in Heroes season 2 as Monica. Nicholas Braun who plays Cameron who’s a love-struck nerd does not seem to be very striking though. But he’s quite funny. If you think you like the movie you might want to give it a try. It won’t be as good as the movie though but it might become one of the great teenage series. Who knows? Okay. I may have exaggerating a bit. FYI, the series also featured “I Want You To Want Me” song as the soundtrack just like the film. But in this series the song is sang by KSM while in the film the song is by Letters to Cleo. KSM is quite good but I prefer Letters to Cleo. I’m going to start digging about KSM. =]

Why breakfast is so important?

During my school days I would say I have never skipped breakfast but now I’m at the university, I tend to skip breakfast easily. I usually wake up late and I’m rushing to get ready for my classes thus I don’t have time to eat breakfast. I guess it’s one of the reasons why I’m always sleepy during lectures not to mention I easily lose my concentration too. Hahaa…Even when I’m home during my holiday I don’t take breakfast. I’m just too lazy to go downstairs and I’ll eat more during lunchtime. I know it’s important for us to take breakfast but I don’t really care much about that since I don’t really know how important that is important. However I read an article about the importance of breakfast and suddenly I think I’m going to take a breakfast everyday from now onwards. Ohh it’s a total lie. But I will try to make it a habit. Yeah..I will..I definitely will..Well I think if you’re not working or studying at the moment it is considerably fine for skipping your breakfast. But if you’re working and studying there’s no greater truth than breakfast being the most important meal of the day, it’s for everyone actually. Haha..
Okay..Here’s what the article says:
People who eat breakfast are more likely to have better concentration, problem-solving skills and eye hand coordination. Besides it provides you with energy you need to warm up and get your energies running and your mind functioning well for the entire day. In other word, it actually activates your brain. Skipping the morning meal means depriving your body of calcium. Calcium is essential for your body! It is a nutrient that keeps your blood pressure low, prevents colon cancer, eases the symptoms of PMS, fortifies your bone density and etc. Breakfast is very important for both physical and mental health. People who eat breakfast are more likely to:
• Have better concentration and be more productive throughout the morning ~ due to replenishing glucose, the brain’s main energy source.
• Control weight ~ there are several theories behind the association between eating breakfast and controlling weight. Researchers speculate that eating breakfast may reduce hunger later in the day, or that it may cause eaters to choose less-dense foods at later meals. Eating breakfast regularly may simply be an indicator of someone who adopts a low-calorie, low-fat diet.
• Have more strength and endurance ~ You’ll have higher energy levels and you’re much stronger to engage yourself in physical activity.
• Have lower cholesterol, which reduces the risk of heart disease ~ Research has shown that people who eat breakfast consume less dietary cholesterol than people who don't eat breakfast.
If weight is your concern (you’re on diet), I think it’s better for you not to skip your breakfast but you can skip your lunch. When you’re already eat breakfast (a healthy one!) you’ll not feel as hungry as when you’re not taking your breakfast. Therefore you can totally skip your lunch or grab less food for your lunch. As for working people and students no matter how late or how lazy you are, be sure to at least drink a hot beverage with high calcium milk in it like coffee for an example. If you still don’t want to eat or drink anything in the early morning (There are few people I know who will feel nauseous and soon vomit just because they’re trying to have breakfast), try taking supplements instead. Okay breakfast skipper, let’s try our best to start taking breakfast. =]

good girls go bad- Cobra Starship featuring Leighton Meester
Tuesday, July 7, 2009
Oh...I was kind of late!! I forgot about Leighton Meester’s new video so I watched the music video just now. I know. I know. Shame on me to be missed out on her new music video for a couple of days. Whatever...I heard the song few months ago and no lie I absolutely love the song. The song itself is very catchy and amazing. Leighton as usual looks stunning and she’s indeed very pretty in this music video. I don’t really like to see her being blonde but this one is pretty (her original hair is BLONDE). The ending of the video was great too! Yeah at least she can sing right? I’ve wrote about *ScarJo’s singing before and I personally think there’s something about her voice which I don’t like. But hey I think it’s enough for me to just love her acting. Well Leighton Meester or best known as Blair Waldorf is good at both. I love her acting and her singing too! I just can’t wait for her debut album. Can’t deny it but her voice is pretty good though not as good as Xtina’s but not as lame as Paris Hilton’s. I hope she does not forget about acting now that she has come into singing. Anyway credit should goes to Cobra Starship as well since it’s their song after all. FYI, the song is produced by Kevin Rudolf and co-written by Rudolf himself and Kara DioGuardi. I don’t really like Cobra Starship and I heard of them just because of their song “I Kissed a Boy” which sort of a guy version’s of “I Kissed a Girl” by Katy Perry. LOL..But then surprisingly I love this song. I guess it’s just because Leighton is in it. Now we have another Gossip Girl’s darling who could sing apart from Taylor Momsen. She has quite a good rocking voice too but I just can’t endure to see her singing. It was kind of funny. Haha. Forgot to mention, Ed Westwick has a good voice too. But do not really like his voice because he sounds so much like Pete Doherty. Too bad for me because I adore Pete Doherty and no one could beat him. Do not get the wrong idea here. I love The Filthy Youth’s songs (I’m so into Brit’s music) but sometimes I just think he’s copying Doherty’s style. I don’t want to think that way but could not help it. Let’s just say I love both but I love Doherty a lot more. One thing for sure I love Ed’s acting and really love Chuck. Finally there’s a balance in here. Love Doherty’s voice and love Ed’s acting. Haha..Okay before I’m off to sleep I just want to say it again. Can’t wait for Leighton’s album..=] Oh. I also love her singing Bette Davis Eyes. Xoxo

pitch a fix

I read on E! about the ‘pitch a fix’ thing. It is about the TV series that does not go right just like what you’re expected or how the story should be, and you really wish certain characters were dead or anything that you want to see in these TV series; Heroes and 90210.
Okay first let me talk about Heroes. Honestly I think I like this TV series but only season 1 and part of season 2. Then when it comes to season 3 it started to be more complicated and then everything is messed up. Lots of characters came out suddenly and then everyone has changed. Maybe it is just me to feel these sorts of things. I do not know about other people. Here’s one of the thoughts about Heroes:
"I just can't take it anymore. Heroes' number-one issue in my opinion is that the writers don't follow the rules they establish. We can't trust anything because they change the rules to suit their stupid ideas each week. Examples of rule-breaking: (1) Peter was always my favorite from the beginning and they destroyed his character by changing the way his powers worked. Stupid. (2) The idea in the beginning was him against Sylar, epic titans. They screwed that up. (3) In volume two or whatever, let's heal Nathan with Claire's blood and resurrect Noah. But in volume four, let's just let Nathan die instead of resurrecting him and keep Sylar around again. Gosh darnit, kill the mofo already! I am so sick of this character: He is so boring! 'Will he become good? Will he change? No, let's change his powers too...' And I loved season one... so sad... —WWK commenter
As for me, I think this show has become somewhat ridiculous but still I have watched all the episodes. Hahaha..It’s just because once I’m involved with TV series, I don’t really like to stop continue watching the series. I still wanted to know the ending no matter what. One thing for sure just please stop resurrect people from dead. As much as I wanted to see some characters develop into something new, I don’t really think the idea of bringing people back to their life is appealing but rather appalling. Seriously, what were you thinking? I do not know but I loved season 1 where everyone is a much of a heroes. Peter is like the most powerful, Claire is a smart cheerleader, Mohinder is a great scientist, Sylar is the intriguing killer and the list goes on. But look what happened to them now? Claire is boring, Mohinder has grown to be such an idiot, Sylar has undergone too many identity changes and Peter is a complication, he lost his power and could only copy one and etc. I personally think they should have been focusing more on the core characters. Do not make them hate on each others but stand up for each others. Create more links between them where they could be a hero to one another. I know too well that there’s nothing I could do to change the plot of the stories. It’s nice to read what people have to say about the series but I still don’t think the director would really go and change the plot just because he read their comments. Absolutely NOT.
Let me proceed with 90210. Frankly this series is a painful to watch. It’s a very typical TV series revolving sexy rich teenagers that does not seem to be very interesting. Their sick wardrobe is big turn-off. I mean yeah they are all rich people but they don’t really know how to dress well especially Annie. But I think all of them do not wear great clothes. Maybe their wardrobe team is the one to be blame. No offense. Gossip Girl is far better than this series. Not to mention their gorgeous outfits and also great storyline even though it is taken from the novel. Lots of people say that 90210 steals OTH storyline. Well I felt the same too. Plus I think Annie is a boring character and Ethan is nothing but a lame hunk that does not attract much attention. Despite all of these, I watched the series though I may have pressed forward a lot especially the parent’s part, Dixon + Silver part and also Annie + Ethan part. (Note that I don’t watch it on TV) I guess it maybe because of Silver and Adrianna characters that I still stick to the series. Their acting is quite good compared to others. I think they should bring another guy other than Liam or at least develop Ethan, Dixon or Navid characters to be more interesting. I don’t know what else they should change. Basically just change everything. Hahaha..I hope season 2 will be better since there will be new characters as well though Rumer Willis does not really strike my attention. Nothing to say more because no matter what, Gossip Girl, The O.C and One Tree Hill (the sixth season is kind of sick somehow, =p) are way much better.

A mistake..=]
Friday, July 3, 2009
There was a mistake in my yesterday’s post. I wrote not occasionally whereas what I meant was occasionally. I was going for not always but then changed my mind to put occasionally but forgot to cancel the not part. I am so sorry for the misunderstanding. Last night I did not check it before posting it. It was my bad. I’m a normal human being after all, I make mistakes. Hee.. I wish there’s a machine that could change my thoughts into writings so it will be easier. No more mistakes, no more forgetting about what I have to say and etc. haaha..
For today, I am supposed to go out with my friends but I cancelled on them. I’m really sorry guys. I have to. I don’t have transport and I’m too lazy to take public transport. Sorry guys. I think this is another issue. All of us have experienced this kind of thing. Not the “I don’t have transport” thing but the date is cancelled thing. If you want to cancel on somebody you better have a good reason or you should cancel it earlier (a week, a day before). Do not cancel on them like an hour before because it’s kind of rude you know. My friend once eagerly asked me to hangout with her and at that time I was quite tired but still I said it’s okay. I haven’t met her for quite a long time so I went to the mall. While I was on my way to the mall, she called me and told me that she couldn’t come because she had family problems. I was in rage because I almost arrived to the mall. She was the one who eagerly invited me and then she said she had some sort of family problems. Kidding me. If it was not because she is my friend I would curse her straight to the face. Yeah. I never had a boyfriend who ever cancel on my date. Lucky me. I guess she had to cancel on me. I was quite upset because it was like few minutes before I arrived. Instead of going to the mall, I went straight back home and I was laughed by my mom and brothers. You know I was all dressed up and I went back early. My brother teased me of how fast was my meeting. As far as I’m concerned, I have never cancel on any date like few minutes or an hour before. But if I do, forgive me because I was not aware of that. It’s better for you to come late rather than not showing up at all. Some of my friend’s boyfriends always cancel on their date. It was funny somehow because their reasons could be just anything and it’s lame. There are like family problems, stomachache, car broke down and etc. If you know you could not come earlier why bother yourself to agree on a date? You need to come out with a reason later and that’s how the stupid reasons came out. Okay so please if you know you could not make it just politely say no and try not to cancel the date an hour before or even an hour after. Haha

how well your parents are affecting your decision?
Okay. Here’s the thing. My younger brother is going to GMI College next week. As usual, going to new college you’ll buy new stuffs, new shirts and etc. So my brother was eyeing to this one particular shirt and he asked my mom if he could buy it. My mom said not to buy it yet, wait until she sees it. So my brother went straight back home and he said he really likes that shirt but he thinks my parents will not like it. The next day, he took my mom to the mall and went to look over the shirt and my mom said she doesn’t like it. My brother was slightly disappointed but he agreed to my mom’s decision. He did not buy the shirt but he scored another three shirts. The shirt which he has been eyeing before has visible polka dots (based on what my mom said). He wanted to wear it during the registration day and reason being why my mom doesn’t like it because she thinks it’s not appropriate to wear shirt with visible polka dots on it. You know she wants my brother to look all clean and smart during the registration day, tuck in plain shirt with straight cut trouser (not carrot cut). Whatever, my point is my mom’s here plays an important role affecting her kids’ decisions. How well your parents are affecting your decision? As for me, I think it is like 90%. I always like to go shopping with my mom because she’s like the best shopping buddy I’ve ever had. She’ll says straight if she doesn’t like my dress, shoes or whatever and vice versa. She is very honest unlike my friends because friends still have to care about your feelings. They will not tell you how sucks you look in your shirt for real but they’ll give you hints. Sometimes they will not tell you anything because they think it’s your money after all so they don’t bother to tell you at all. You like it; it’s your money so they’ll just zip their mouth. My parents play an important role affecting my decision basically in just everything. If I went to buy something like blouse or shoes etc on my own I will usually end up not liking it if my parents do not like it. I’ve bought this pair of sneakers and I actually like it when I tried it in the mall. However when I went back to my home, my dad said my sneakers looked like the one vegetable’s seller wears everyday. When I look back at it, it is somehow true so I do not really like that sneakers ever since. But I still wear it though but not occasionally. Another one is when I was in between whether to stay in my matriculation (I had to compete with other students to get my course in local universities after a year of studying) or to go to a foundation centre where I need to finish 1 and a half years of studying but no need to worry about competing to get the course (it’s a specific matriculation like engineering, medicine and etc). I was not excited to go for the latter because I have been studying in the matriculation for about a month. I have already got along with all my friends and I was not ready for a change. My parents said a lot about the foundation which then affecting my decision to go take the foundation. At first I did not like the idea of me going to the foundation centre until now. I must say I’m really lucky to get my dream course in doing my degree. If I wasn’t following what my parents said 4 years ago I would probably end up getting another course just like my friends who were at the same matriculation. Not all of them got what they wanted because some of them got just any course that’s not suitable for them. One of my friends wanted to do medicine but ended up with nuclear course. I’m saying that my parents were true and it’s good that they’re affecting my decision. I guess most of parents out there usually good in affecting their kids’ decision. After all, it is for our own good. My cousin once got a better offer to work at a giant private company after she worked for government for like 6 months. She wanted to go but her dad did not agree to her decision. He said why risking your life working at a big company where you do not have guarantee that you will be there forever. The payment may be big but you will have lots of work to do and if you do not work hard enough, you will be easily got fired. She did not go but I’ve got to say she’s now happily working for her now company. She might not be getting the big payment but she got lots of good things. When she delivered her first baby, she did not need to pay for her expenses and many other good things happened. In my opinion sometimes it is good to have our parents affecting our decision because they usually know more than we always do. But sometimes it’s not good. Let us say if you wanted to do accounting in your degree but your parents asking you to do medicine. If you go without any interest in doing medicine, I bet you’ll end up horribly in your studies. However if you work hard and try not to flunk in your test you’ll soon thank your parents for dragging you into medicine. The bottom line is always be wise. If you think you should follow your parents then do it. If not, do not push yourself to agree with everything you parents have to say. You have the rights to tell them what your interest is. Well it is the only time where they could tell you about what to wear, what to do and the list goes on. When you’re already get married or have your own money they will stop commenting about everything. xoxo =]

Contact Lens
Wednesday, July 1, 2009

I would like to share about contact lens. Well I’ve been wearing contact lens since I was 15. I’m certainly sure for now after 7 years of experiences how to care for my lens. I even had eyes infection when I was 18. I lived in my matriculation college in Perak and my lens solution is running empty and I need to wait till weekend to buy a new one or to ask my parents to come over to replace it. So I have no choice but to save my solution so I do not really rinse my lens before I put it on. I thought it was safe to do so since I washed my hands but it was a very bad thought. I had to go to the doctor because I had eyes infection. To make it even worse, I had to take 2 weeks off from my classes. Luckily I rest at my house but it is still a torture considering I can’t go out from my room. My siblings would curse me because they do not want to get the infection too. My eyes were like super red back then but I knew it is not contagious since my doctor says so. Whatever. Speaking about lenses back, I’ve tried many ranges of contact lenses from Acuvue, Ultraflex, Bausch & Lomb, Ciba Vision O2, Freshkon and the list goes on. As for me, I think the best lenses are those from Ciba Vision O2 and Freshkon lens. They have a high number of water content which will make your eyes feel the moisture and remains the moist. I first started to wear lens because I had trouble with my spectacles. I do not really like wearing spectacles because it felt like there is something hanging over my nose and it’s absolutely bothering me. I took another option which is to wear contact lens. At first, I felt quite weird having something in my eyes and it will not fit my eyes perfectly. I mean it took a couple of days for my eyes to adjust and it is the norm of wearing contact lens. I wear contact lens on a daily basis and I only wear corrective contact lens with no color. I do wear colored contact lens but only to certain occasion. It would be awkward if I wear colored contact lens on a daily basis. Haahah..
If you want to wear contact lens you should ask your doctor first. Sometimes there are few people who cannot wear lens since they have certain types of allergic conditions. When your doctor says it is okay for you to start wearing lens then you should opt for good lens. Then you should know how to properly put in contact lens and take it out from your eyes. You must put in your lens in front of a mirror but you don’t need to do so when you’re taking it out.
Here are some of my tips:
1) Be sure to take out your lens when you’re done with your school, work or whatever you’re doing to give your eyes a rest. (when wearing contact lens your eyes is tired)
2) Always wash your hands before you touch your lens. Cleanliness is very important when handling with lens.
3) Always bring your lens case and solution to anywhere you go. Sometimes you’ll feel something weird with your eyes because of dust, sunlight or etc. You do not want to throw away your lens just like that. Haha
4) Do not try to nap with your contact lens if you think you’re not comfortable enough to do so. You may do so if you’ve been wearing lens for a while but try to avoid it.
5) Avoid wearing the lens more than 8 hours a day. It will cause your eyes to appear red.
6) Never reuse the solution. By doing so, you are at risk of getting infection.
7) Always thoroughly rinse each side of your lens with your solution. It is to make sure your lens is clean before you put it in your eyes.
8) Soak your lens in a clean case and always change your case every 1-2 months or when you think it is dirty.
9) Do not put rinse your lens and case with tap water or just any solution. It may cause infection or sight damage.
10) Contact lens should not be worn more than the recommended wearing period (1 week or 1 month). It may vary according to which lens you buy.
11) Don't let the tip of solution bottles touch other surfaces, including your fingers, eyes or contact lenses. The solution can become contaminated.
Some people say it is okay to sleep with lens but I don’t do such. But it has occurred to me quite a few times. I accidentally took a nap with my lens and when I woke up my eyes were extremely dry. Therefore it is always not safe to sleep with your lens. I have read about it and it says it can cause a cornea ulcer causing pain and aversion to light. If you ever sleep with your lens better stop doing so. You might not want to lose your sight because of your carelessness. I was once caught sleep with my lens in and the next thing I knew when I woke up, one of my lens wasn’t in my eye. It slide to somewhere under my upper eyelid. I could not reach it and I started to cry because my mom scared me and scolded me (My parents do not really like the idea of me wearing lens). Then it suddenly slipped out from my eye because I cried too much. I guess the lens felled with my tears. Thank goodness I do not have to undergo the eye operation and after that I have always be extra careful not to sleep with my lens again. Please note that there are few lenses in stores like Ciba Vision O2 where you can sleep in them. If it does not say so, better not to sleep with them.
Lessons of the story: Do not sleep with your lens no matter how tired you are and always rinse your lens before you put it in. =]
